How to use a baby carrier in summer?

It is absolutely possible to carry a baby during the summer, with a few simple adjustments.

The carrier itself adds an extra layer of fabric, and both the baby’s and the caregiver’s bodies generate heat. For this reason, it’s best to dress the baby in light, breathable clothing and avoid unnecessary layers. It’s also important to remember that your body is an additional “layer,” so less clothing is often enough. Natural fabrics like cotton or linen are recommended, preferably with long sleeves to help protect from sun exposure.
It’s best to carry in shaded areas whenever possible, avoid direct sun exposure, and take breaks as needed. A hat or a light cover can be used to create shade, while always ensuring the baby’s airways remain open and the face is visible.
You can also choose carriers made from lightweight, breathable fabrics such as cotton or linen, or opt for a summer carrier like the Summer Top, designed for warm weather.
As always, it’s important to listen to your body, watch for signs of heat or discomfort, and adjust carrying accordingly.
