Characteristics of Long Woven Wraps, as well as Ring Slings and Mei Tais Made from Different Types of Fabric

Long Woven Wraps:

Girasol – A German wrap, handwoven in Guatemala. Made from 100% organic cotton, dyed exclusively with natural dyes. Has an eco-test (European ecological testing). Ties very well, even for customers without experience. Girasol wraps are very, very soft after the first wash, but somewhat bulky (they make quite a large knot).

Yaro – European wraps, mostly jacquard woven, leftovers from high-end wraps. Each wrap has different characteristics, thickness, and wrapping properties. A relatively inexpensive alternative for beautiful and colorful wraps.

Yaro – A European brand, regular cotton and many different fabric blends. No eco-test. Their wrapping properties are so-so, sometimes a little too thick or too thin (except for special editions that I release), so it’s worth checking with me about each individual wrap.

Topa Top – Wraps made with our own weaving. So far, only 100% cotton (linen will also be available later). Not organic cotton. Usually prewashed, so they are relatively soft. After 2–3 washes, they become completely soft. They also support heavier babies very well.

Storchenwiege – A German wrap manufactured in Germany. Most models are not made from organic cotton, partial eco-testing. Thick and very stiff wraps, but they tie very well and support weight extremely well. Recommended for particularly heavy babies.

Hoppediz – German brand, manufactured in India, regular cotton. Their wrapping properties are so-so. Relatively thick. Their jacquard wraps are very thin and slippery, but beautiful and suitable for summer.

Didymos – Many types of weaving and fabric compositions. Organic cotton, eco-tested. Each one wraps differently, so every individual wrap needs to be checked specifically.
