How to care for your baby carrier and keep it like new?

How to Care for Your Top Tai Carrier

To keep your carrier looking good, comfortable to use, and durable over time, proper care is essential.

Baby saliva contains enzymes that break down milk. Over time, these can affect the fabric by causing color fading, stiffness, and weakening of the fibers. Sun exposure and intensive use without regular washing can also contribute to wear.

For this reason, we recommend washing your carrier regularly—at least once a month, or every two weeks with daily use.

Wash separately
For the first few washes, wash the carrier separately to prevent possible color transfer.
Prepare before washing
Close all Velcro fasteners and secure the straps and buckles before placing the carrier in the washing machine.
Use a gentle detergent
Choose a mild detergent and avoid bleach or harsh cleaning products.
Follow the fabric care instructions
Always wash according to the care instructions for your specific fabric type.

Extra tip

Using drool pads helps protect the shoulder straps from saliva and reduces the need for frequent washing, helping your carrier stay in excellent condition for longer.
